More projects and backtests 📈

Myst Platform Release (2022-04-14)

Hello Myst Platform users,

We are working on scaling the Myst Platform to meet your needs, which this week means more projects and more backtests for you! We’ve also added CSV downloads in the web application, a few bug fixes and enhancements. Please update your myst-alpha package at your earliest convenience to ensure you have access to these updates (instructions here).

✨ New features:

  • You can now download data as a CSV from the “Query node” and monitor results modals.

⚡️ Enhancements:

  • You can now run up to ten concurrent backtests in one project! We’re excited to support faster experimentation for you and your team.
  • You can now have up to 300 projects (deployed or not) at once – up from a previous limit of 200. In the future, we plan to allow you to delete projects even if they have been deployed – so that this limit is easy to stay within.
  • We have updated the way backtests and deployments interact: now, when you run a backtest in a project that has not been deployed yet, the Myst Platform will automatically create an inactive deployment in the background. This means that you can now create a project with policies, and then run a backtest without any live forecasts being generated. Read more on the recommended backtesting and deployment workflow here.
  • Now, when you hover over a node in your graph, the full title will show up as a tool tip instead of expanding in the node itself – so that it’s even easier to read.

✅ Bug fix:

  • We fixed a bug that caused a whole graph to fail if Yes Energy data was unavailable for a portion of the requested time period. You should see more of your graphs that include Yes Energy succeed.
  • We fixed a bug that caused cron expressions for backtests from different time zones to appear incorrectly as UTC in the web application. You should now see the correct time zones displayed next to cron expressions in the web application for your backtests.
