Auditing made easier

Myst Platform Release (2022-04-22)

Hello Myst Platform users,

We have a few improvements for you this week to help you better audit your projects and navigate the web UI. Please update your myst-alpha package at your earliest convenience to ensure you have access to these updates (instructions here).

⚡️ Enhancements:

  • The Weather Company (TWC) recipe (featured in this tutorial) can now create time series nodes after each TWC source before they’re combined in a single time series node. These intermediate time series ensure that you are able to audit each time series separately.
Note: You can toggle this behavior on by using create_intermediate_time_series=True.
  • If you attempt to view a project in the web application that has not been shared with you, you will see an error message indicating that you do not have project access. Previously, you would have seen a spinning wheel and no message.
  • You will see grayed out buttons in the web application within projects to which you have only “Viewer” access. This change makes it more explicit which actions you can and cannot take in a project, given your permissions for that project.

✅ Bug fix:

  • We fixed a bug that surfaced unclear error messages in the “Debug job” popup. Now, error messages reference upstream failures for easier debugging – so that you no longer have to track down the root job failure.

As always, please do not hesitate to reach out via the chat embedded in the Myst Platform or email us at [email protected] with questions or feedback.

Thank you!
