Insert data update and HPO copy bug fix

Myst Platform Release (2022-10-27)

Hello Myst Platform users,

We’ve got a bug fix and an update to the way the platform treats inserted data for you this week.

Please update your myst-alpha package at your earliest convenience to ensure you have access to this week’s updates (instructions here).

Updates:

  • ⚡️ Enhancement – As of this update, the platform will always use the most recently inserted data for a given natural time range, no matter whether the data was originally inserted as historical data or forecasted data. This does not change how the platform has treated inserted historical data but does change how the platform treats data whose natural time range is after its as of time. Previously, inserted forecasts could only be used in predictions with a matching as-of time. Now, inserted forecasts can be used across as-of times. This means, for example, that you can now insert forecasts at the start of the day and use those as inputs for a full day of predictions.
  • ✅ Bug fix – Previously, if you copied a project containing a model other than XGBoost and ran an HPO, the HPO would not succeed. Now, you can copy a project, update it if you choose, and run an HPO with any model with support for HPO.

As always, please do not hesitate to reach out via the chat embedded in the Myst Platform or email us at [email protected] with questions or feedback.

Thank you!
Ellery and the Myst team
